Ground School Instructor Mediation Update July 21, 2008

Dear Brothers & Sisters:

On July 14th through Wednesday July 16th, 2008 your negotiations committee met with the Company and Mr. Ernie Dubester, our NMB appointed Mediator. Both committees were afforded the opportunity to meet with him separately on various occasions and articulate their positions on Article's 4Compensation, 11- Overtime and two side l~tters. He gave recommendations and guidance so we could continue to have positive dialogue with one another.

Your negotiations committee worked determinedly on counter proposals. On Wednesday we gave the Company a modified counter proposal on Article 4- Compensation and a letter regarding future 401 K and benefit enhancement opportunities. The company expressed to our committee that they did not want to make any premature counter proposals so they would respond to our proposals at our next session.

Our next tentatively scheduled session will be September 3rd -5th, 2008. Our objective for that, and every future session will be to reach a full comprehensive Tentative Agreement for ratification.

We appreciate your patience and your support. United Invincible!

Fraternally,

TWU Negotiating Committee

Negotiations Update 05-08-08

Your committee and the Company resumed contract negotiations on April 30th and May 1st. During these discussions we exchanged counter proposals and were successful in reaching a Tentative Agreement on Article 6 - Holidays for both AMT & Related and Fleet service agreements.

Upon reconvening we were informed that one of the Company’s committee members had an urgent personal conflict. Due to this unforeseen situation we decided not to meet on Monday May 5th through Wednesday May 7th. Your negotiations committee took this time and used it constructively preparing counter proposals. We explored potential changes to processes in our current agreements that the company had interests in improving.

On April 30th we exchanged counter proposals on Article 4- Compensation, Article 9- Seniority, Article 10- Classifications and Qualifications, Article 11- Overtime, Article 12- Probationary Period, 17-Field Work, 18- Attendance at Hearings, Investigations, Training and Article 24- Part Time Employees.

On May 1st we exchanged counter proposals on Article 1- Recognition and Scope, Article 4- Compensation, Article 7- Sick Leave/On The Job Injury, Article 9-Seniority, Article 10-Classifications and Qualifications, Article 11- Overtime, Article 12- Probationary Period, Article 14- Transfers and Promotions, Article 17- Field Work, Article 18- Attendance at Hearings, Investigations, Training and Article 24- Part time Employees.

The company remains rigid regarding certain Articles which we view as concessionary proposals. We have continually expressed that we will not entertain concessionary proposals, Period.

Thus far, we have reached tentative agreements on Eighteen (18) of the twenty nine (29) Articles that we have proposed to the Company for the Fleet Service Agreement and Fifteen (15) of twenty nine (29) for the Maintenance and related Agreement.

We have reached tentative agreements on Ten (10) Letters for the Fleet Service Agreement and Fourteen (14) Letters for the Maintenance and related Agreement.

In our last session on April 3rd, we advised the company that our position on Letters E (FSC) & Letter F (AMT & Related) 401K enhancement me too, Letter H (FSC) & Letter I (AMT & Related) Vacation/Holiday & Medical enhancement me too, Letter K (FSC) & Letter L (AMT & Related) SJU Grievance Time Limits was our final position since they are Status Quo proposals and modifying them would be concessionary to our members.

Our next scheduled meetings for the Aircraft Maintenance & Related and Fleet Service agreements with the company are June 17th-19th.

We always appreciate your patience and support. United and Invincible
